Clothes Aid is a social business, motivated by its cause and not by its bottom line. It is the UK’s largest fully licensed, commercial clothes collection company. Since 1996 Clothes Aid has worked alongside big, small, national and regional charities and contributed over £9 million to UK charities with the great British public’s clothing donations.
Clothes Aid collects the UK’s unloved clothing, helping the extend the life of textiles whilst helping to support worthwhile charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support, the NSPCC and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Besides collecting the UK’s unloved clothes door-to-door, Clothes Aid also offers a ‘One Stop’ service for homes, schools, community groups or businesses who wish to do something charitable by having a clear-out of their wardrobes.
Clothes Aid collaborated with Love Your Clothes and Macmillan to produce a short film featuring Penny, who was treated to a wardrobe makeover. The video showcased the importance of feeling confident when living with cancer and how easy it is to donate unloved clothes.
