As part of Love Your Clothes Cardiff, we’ve teamed up with Oxfam to run an exciting Sewathon on Wednesday 26 October, 11am-6pm at The Castle Emporium!
Volunteer an hour of your time to help design and make cut-off shorts upcycled from denim jeans for Oxfam to sell at Glastonbury, Bestival, Womad and Boomtown festivals next summer!
The Oxfam boutique store in Cardiff is busy collecting damaged jeans and bits of fabric, ribbon and jewellery so that each pair of shorts can be uniquely styled by you at the Sewathon.
Anyone is welcome to take part in the Sewathon, no matter what your level of sewing experience. There will be experts on hand to help!
It is essential that you register for the Sewathon. Please complete the registration form
No leftover denim will be wasted as part of this event. On Thursday 27 and Friday 28 October, one of our local Super Crafters, Tailor Green, will be running workshops to show you what you can create with denim. Click for full details
