A day of free taster workshops at Sew Fabulous in the Open Market.

This event is for residents of Moulscoomb, Cravenvale/Queens Park, Bates Estate, Tarner, London Road who are unemployed or on a low income.

If this is you then come and join in with one of our free taster sessions, have a go on a sewing machine and learn a few simple sewing techniques.

The workshops are FREE and you can book your place here.

Workshop information

How to use a sewing machine:

Never used a sewing machine before? In this workshop we will run through the basic functions and have a try out. learning to use a sewing machine can open up endless creative and practical possibilities so come and have a try!

Revamp your clothes:

Bring an item of clothing that you would like to customise and jazz up. We will guide you through various techniques to make it totally unique. Applique, lettering, sparkles and spangles, cut it up and reasemble it. Let your creativity fly!
Quick Fix Tricks:

Learn some useful and money saving skills in this simple repair and alterations techniques workshop.

Hand sewing family workshop:

Bring the kids along to this one, make a mini project sewing by hand. ( Maximum 2 children per adult)
