WE ARE THE DONATION GENERATION
Did you know that in the UK around 300,000 tonnes of our unwanted clothing gets thrown away every year? And it’s wreaking havoc on our planet.
But we’re THE DONATION GENERATION. We’re the people standing up for Earth, pledging to help reduce our impact on the environment. By donating your unwanted clothes, you’ll not only be helping out some great causes, but you’ll be keeping them out of landfill too. Dare to donate today.
Can we count on you to join us as part of THE DONATION GENERATION?
Here's how:

The UK already donates around a third of its unwanted clothing to charity and you can do your bit, too, by signing up to the Donation Generation. Do something green today and join us in helping our planet.

There are lots of simple solutions you can use to keep your clothes out of landfill. Here are some of the ways you can get started:
Charitable donations
Visit the Charity Retail Association's website to find your nearest charity shops.
Collection bags
One of the most convenient ways to donate clothes is through charity collection services. You can request a clothing collection bag online from charities such as ClothesAid. Some charities will even pick up donated clothes from your home!
Back to the high street
Many high street retailers such as Primark and M&S now offer clothing donation banks in store. These are sometimes called ‘bring back schemes’. This means that next time you pop out to the shops, you can drop off a bag of your old clothes.
Clothing banks
Many charities have their own clothing donation banks. So if you’ve got a large bag of clothes to donate, this is a really easy way of dropping them off. Check out our recycling locator to find a clothing donation bank in your local area.
